Trend statements autumn/winter 2014

Marcus Kaiser, Product Manager bugatti coats:

The metropolitan style is gaining ground with consumers - and nothing expresses this trend better than the new coats: Noticeably shorter, slightly fitted and enhanced by smart detailing, they bring the entire outfit up to date and add the stamp of quality the customer is looking for. Styles with a defined character, natural feel and restrained lustre have a decisive part to play in the male ensemble.

Klaus-Dieter Schwerma, Product Manager bugatti suits and jackets:

Suits: The suit dominates with its slim cut; the fit is the deciding factor for sales. Narrow shoulders, waisted effect and abbreviated length shape the contemporary look. Slightly "worn look" qualities with minimal patterning emphasise this effect. The trousers echo the narrow look with leg widths between 38 cm and 40 cm.

Jackets: The bugatti jacket is sporty, with a two in one look and function. Jackets with added value are becoming as popular as normal jackets and bugatti has tuned in to this trend. Most jackets incorporate Flexity features to ensure perfect comfort in wear or Fakes that can be zipped into the jacket depending on the weather. Lightly quilted or padded styles are gaining in importance. Overall, the jacket is the means of creating a new look that combines with trousers and waistcoat to arouse consumer curiosity.

Jörg Steinbrück, Product Manager bugatti jackets:

Outdoor jackets for autumn/winter 2014 will be strikingly individual again and so less interchangeable.

Styles will be defined by a variety of material mix versions in nylon with wool and washed sheepskin or leather appliqué combined with wool-look and nylon. The outer fabrics will create a more robust effect overall across various fabric structures but will retain a textile feel that is not too technological. Colours will be more subtle, moving mainly through the "winter darks" palette.

This gives a high quality look that brings jackets firmly back into focus and makes this item a status symbol in terms of product sales.

Jürgen Olleres, Product Manager bugatti trousers:

The autumn/winter 2014 trousers collection is coming from a new and sophisticated place. This is evident in the colous, which are dark and create an opulent look; the finish in the outer fabric is warm, cashmere-like and glamorous. Denim enjoys a revival and emerges clean with a matt sheen. Cut to a tailored fit, the trousers come in a 40 cm leg width, and a body hugging fit is essential. The High Class Edition is new and its regal style is underlined by the label - black with copper script. Chinos are still there but are less significant. Five Pockets or luxuriously finished tailor-made styles are on the move.

Nico Elsenbruch, Product Manager bugatti shirt, knitwear, jersey:

Knits & jerseys: A combination of innovation, modernity, creativity and quality is the most important driver for product development for next autumn/winter season.

Sophisticated knit and sweat look, top quality yarns and minimal art work must be carefully combined to retain their exciting authentic look while staying commercially viable. The colour palette is much quieter although the key seasonal colors (bay leaf, gold, lapis, aubergine and pumpkin) will remain strong. The products are rounded off with the introduction of interesting fun colours such as red pepper and extra virgin.

Shirts: Modernity and creativity must be imaginatively reflected in shirt design. Integrated Dobbies and minimal tie-prints join existing colored chambrays and denims to provide a contemporary new look. Inspirational jersey qualities provide entertainment value and arouse curiosity. The shirt also gets its modern performance edge from a wide variety of collar shapes.

Nicole Jäger, Product Manager bugatti women´s outerwear jackets:

The bugatti autumn/winter 2014 women´s outdoor collection is characterized by its feminine, sporty and urbane signature. Down, jersey and knitted look play a central role in this collection. Colour is very retrained: grey, champagne and nude tones grow significance in combination with gold and brass detailing. Colour is used as an accent.

Armin Graeser, bugatti leather jackets, Managing Director Kapraun Ledermoden GmbH & Co. KG

The bugatti autumn/winter 2014 collection is characterised by its interesting material combinations: Nappa and nubuck or leather and textiles from the same colour spectrum are sometimes combined to achieve a more distinctive look. The colour palette goes back to more muted colors to create a softer effect. Striking surface effects such as fading and washed-look are largely replaced by embossing (stay embossing for instance) to give the range its new image. Washed sheepskin is big in the fashion sector.

Hanna Streif, Design and Product management bugatti belts (Lloyd Arthur Schaper):

Leather qualities for autumn/winter 2014 range from the deerskin look or nubuck and patent for the business sector to crushed vintage leather and velour for the casual sector. The two-tone look is to the fore, achieved on the one hand through retrained finishes on edges and points or hand painted and washed effects and on the other trough small matt/shiny contrasts, stitching and filigree all-over embossing.

The colour world is restrained, subdued. Especially important this season are the new chestnut tones, Bordeaux, sludge, smoky grey-blue and deep petrol.

Svenja Häger Design/product management, bugatti socks by atair GmbH:

Colour intensity for socks in autumn/winter 14/15 is restrained. A new chestnut brown comes into focus together with indigo jeans mix combined with club colors. Colours are modestly combined with neutrals such as black, navy, grey mix and naturals like alpaca. bugatti raises comfort levels throughout the range with its piqué comfort ribbing, which deserves a special mention. Outlast socks have terry soles and ribbed shafts for functionality. Yarns incorporate Outlast technology to regulate the foot climate to a comfortable temperature in winter. Outlast balances temperature, absorbs moisture and so reduces odour. Outlast socks carry the special Outlast brand label.

Ute Süß, Product manager Traveller Jean Weipert GmbH, bugatti bags:

The statement for bags in autumn 2014 is: pure, classic, straightforward. Straight shapes and reduced fittings, combined with smooth leather, crocodile embossing or cross-grained leather are the core themes. The look is emphasised by its functionality finesse, making it particularly stylish.

The colour spectrum is reduced. Bordeaux, forest green and dark grey together with black are the in colours.

Hans Theodor Wegener, bugatti headwear (Managing Director R & M Wegener GmbH & Co. KG)

Old-fashioned docker-style tweed caps for men will be in first place next winter together with knitted beanies and functional wind-resistant items. Wool felt, flexible Australien Jones look, trilbies and flying helmets round off the programme.

Long knitted beanies are in for women, and woolly hats with lots of pompoms as well as cuddly scarves are a must.

Elisabeth Rosenholm, bugatti scarves (Atlas Design GmbH)

Alongside the classic silk tie, autumn/winter 14 sees the trend moving strongly towards mixes such as silk/wool or silk/viscose. This also applies to breast pocket handkerchiefs and bow ties. The breast pocket handkerchief, which up to now has been a niche product, is gaining in significance. Classic designs such as stripes, paisley and checks are still there and are as important as ever but are now joined by modern designs such as fantasy patterns.

New in the current scarf collection and coming to the fore are narrow scarves in cord look. Viscose, lambswool, cashmere and light wool qualities are still indispensable for the A/W season. In contrast to previous years, the trend is moving away from heavy knits towards finer qualities.

Julia Vogel, design bugatti mobile cases (Styles for mobile):

Mobile cases not only protect Smartphones and mobile phones, they are also a fashion statement and a symbol of the customer´s urban lifestyle. Both classic interpretations in high quality leather and adaptions of current fashion trends are included in the range. The customer can be equally on trend either by choosing model-specific clip-on covers or flip cases for top sellers such as the Apple iPhone 5/5s/5c and Samsung  Galaxy S4 or by going for a universal fashionable leather case, handmade in Europe.
