If I’m going out in the world, I should make everything look as good as it can by looking my best, it’s a show of respect.
I need a holiday! A lot of you are probably thinking just that! Summer is already here and anyone that can look forward to swapping the meeting room for a beach bar soon is probably already silently wondering what to pack. What will be your summer outfit once you’ve taken a dip in the pool? We have already had a quick look at this season’s beach bar trends and know exactly what you should take and what you’ll be better advised to leave at home.
You should consider your summer outfits carefully before you actually pack them in your suitcase. What could you wear with what to create combinations that are suitable for the beach, the bar and also a visit to a restaurant or a beach party without looking too much like a stereotypical tourist? We recommend a mix of cool pool-side outfits and stylish party looks. Pack the kind of tops that can be worn at different times of the day. You can wear an understated polo shirt or a loose top on the way to the beach with your swimming trunks and also to a beach bar for a snack in the afternoon. Combine a polo shirt casually with a pair of jeans and cool slip-ons and you have the perfect evening outfit – you’re ready to party!
The perfect holiday outfit
Summer, sun and shorts – the more colourful, the better
The one thing you definitely mustn’t forget to pack when you head off on your summer holidays is a pair of swimming trunks. It is summer; dare to go for a colourful look for that proper beach feeling. How about a fresh colour such as turquoise , for example, or a pair in a slightly more muted colour but with a relay eye-catching detail on the pocket? For the beach, you can combine your shorts with a plain top or a casual polo shirt. Make sure that the colour combinations match but don’t revert to the same boring old “patterns”. Stripes or polka dots are perfectly acceptable beachwear! After all, it’s summer and the holiday feeling should not be lost!
Besides various tops, it is of course also OK to take some shirts on holiday with you. However, your holiday shirts should definitely be casual and your could wear a short-sleeved version for a change, or a shirt with a striking pattern. They can be combined with more than just chinos or jeans. How about a shirt with a paisley pattern, Bermuda shorts in a matching colour and minimalist sneakers?
The right outfit for a beach party or clubbing
During the day, you relax in the sunshine; in the evening, you enjoy a good meal and at night, it’s time to party! You should also pack the perfect clubbing outfit. Of course, a pair of shorts is comfortable and airy pool-side or on a short trip, but your should dress up if you are going clubbing or visiting a trendy bar. A pair of trousers made from a light fabric such as linen or cotton with a stretch content is perfect for dancing even the hottest nights away. You can also dare to go for bright colours and choose a pair of trousers in mint green, blue or a light beige, combined with a loose shirt or a trendy top.
Of course, a beach holiday would not be complete without a night-time stroll on the beach. However, as the nights can also be quite cool by the seaside, you should also pack a light jumper or a cardigan . Choose an understated colour such as grey or dark navy and it will go with anything, which leaves more room in your suitcase for your beach outfits! After all, that’s the whole point of your holiday: sunshine, the beach, the sea and plenty of rest & recreation!
