The polo shirt really can’t deny its history. Tennis player René Lacoste developed a lighter sports shirt that was inspired by the light shirts worn by Indian polo players. The combination of elegant shirt and casual t-shirt quickly struck a chord beyond the tennis court, gaining fans and followers alike. There was nothing stopping the success of the polo shirt and we love this fashion staple that makes our choice of outfit so simple in the morning.

The modern polo shirt has a little, finely ribbed collar, often in a different colour to the rest of the shirt – a real eye-catcher.
The short button front on the collar must not be done up completely, otherwise the outfit will quickly seem staid and doesn’t live up to the polo shirt’s more casual character.
In contrast with a normal t-shirt, the sleeves aren’t simply forgotten about, but rather are finished with a narrow hem that reflects the colour of the collar.
