Combine hoodies - Hoodies and sweatshirts are now so stylish

A hoodie, also called a hooded sweater, is a sweater – usually a sweatshirt – with a hood whose drawstrings dangle casually.

An elastic waistband at the bottom and on the sleeves is also typical for this garment. A hoodie usually also has built-in pockets.

The kangaroo pocket, located at the front of the stomach, is particularly practical. It warms our hands on cold days or can be used as a temporary storage pocket.

In this article, we'll tell you how to best combine hoodies and sweatshirts in the coming fall/winter season.

How do I combine a hoodie?

Hoodies are more versatile than you might initially think. We've long known that they're comfortable, cozy, and sporty. But—when paired correctly—hoodies can also be surprisingly elegant, sophisticated, or suitable for a night out. We'd like to introduce you to our favorite combinations:

Cool and casual: hoodies and pants

There is hardly a more relaxed outfit than the combination of hoodie, jeans and sneakers.

To keep the look from becoming too boring, you can easily spice it up with a trendy eye-catcher: How about eye-catching statement sneakers or trendy boots, for example? A cool jacket also instantly adds a certain something to the outfit. Speaking of jackets: In addition to hoodies and sweaters, you'll also find super cozy hoodie sweat jackets for men in our shop – the ideal companions for the first days of autumn.

Which pants to wear with a hoodie?

Classic jeans always work, of course. Women can also combine hoodies with wide-leg jeans or leather-look trousers. And if you prefer something a little more comfortable: Thanks to working from home, the hoodie and sweatpants combo has also become a stylish look. To avoid the outfit looking too much like a tracksuit, you should pay attention to a well-groomed appearance and enhance it with elegant styling partners. How about a chic coat, for example? There are also many ways for women to skillfully play with style breaks. For example, you can round off the look with pumps and eye-catching jewelry.

Trend combo

Combine hoodie with a dress or skirt

Do you find the hoodie and pants combination a bit boring?

Then we have the ultimate trend combo for you: Try pairing a hoodie with a dress or skirt. This opens up entirely new fashion possibilities: chic looks get a touch of casualness. And a hoodie with a playful pleated skirt creates a cool contrast.

We particularly like the combination of a midi- or maxi-length dress or skirt with an oversized hoodie. This can be worn loosely over the skirt or dress or slightly tucked in. You can pair it with chunky boots or sneakers. If you prefer something a little more chic, pumps or heeled ankle boots will also work.

Absolutely suitable for the office:

Hoodie with blazer or jacket

It was your faithful companion throughout your workday while working from home, but wearing a hoodie to the office? We say: No problem! Because combined with a blazer or jacket, you can now wear your favorite sweater as a business outfit.

Double is even warmer:

Hoodie and turtleneck

A basic fine-knit turtleneck is one of those classics that no closet should be without. It's no wonder, since it keeps us cozy and warm on chilly days. This coming fall/winter season, we'll simply wrap up a bit thicker and throw a hoodie over the turtleneck.

This not only saves you the need for a scarf, but also creates stylish accents – for example, with a bright turtleneck that peeks out as an eye-catcher under a more understated hoodie.

How should a hoodie fit?

A hoodie, just like a sweatshirt, should always be a loose-fitting garment. Therefore, we recommend paying attention to the placement of the shoulder seam.

It should sit as close as possible to the shoulder bone. If it's too close to the neck, the hoodie is too tight. If it sits too far on the upper arm, the hoodie will probably appear too large.

In addition to the shoulder seam, the sleeves are also crucial for a perfect fit. Since hoodies and sweatshirts are more intended for colder days, the sleeves should reach the wrists. On a classic sweatshirt, they end with an elastic cuff, which provides additional protection against the cold. Of course, the cuffs should not dig into the skin. And the sleeves should be wide enough to allow the arm to bend without excessively shortening the length.
