Jersey - soft, supple and stretchy
The name Jersey is said to come from the Channel Island of Jersey, located between England and France.
This is where the first hand-knitted sweaters made from this material are said to have been created for the local fishermen.
The stitch structure alone makes jersey quite stretchy. However, the addition of synthetic fibers, especially elastane, makes the fabric even more elastic and guarantees the best fit and wearing comfort.
